Reprinted From the Tacoma News Tribune

Victor M. Gonzalez; The News Tribune

This is a partial list of children who have disappeared without a trace in Pierce County. The age given is the age at the time of the disappearance.

Cynthia Ann 'Cindy' Allinger, 9

Allinger's mother reported her missing Thursday night, a few hours after the girl left their Lakewood home to play outside. A search was launched over the weekend but found nothing. A 30-year-old man was questioned about the disappearance and released.

Jeffrey Klungness, 14

Klungness vanished March 2, 1996, the same day his mother, Susan, was beaten to death in their home near Bonney Lake. A family acquaintance, Martin Malcolm, said he saw Jeffrey that morning. Malcolm told deputies he panicked and took the family's Toyota Camry after finding Susan's body because of a previous murder conviction. Malcolm was arrested on an auto-theft charge, served several weeks in prison after pleading to a lesser charge, and was released.

Misty Copsey, 14

Copsey was last seen at a bus stop in Puyallup after a day at the Puyallup Fair. Jeans, a pair of panties and a sock that Copsey's mother said the girl was wearing when she vanished were found near Washington 410 by searchers in February 1993. Copsey's mother has organized searches for her daughter, but there has been no sign of the teen.

Wallace Guidroz, 2

Guidroz disappeared at Point Defiance Park on Jan. 10, 1983, while his father was distracted. Despite years of searches, Guidroz has not been found.

Lenoria Jones, 3

She was reported missing July 20, 1995, by Berlean Williams, her great aunt, at the Target store at 3320 S. 23rd St. in Tacoma. Although Williams and her immediate family members said they last saw Lenoria the morning of July 20, no one outside the family reports having seen her since July 16.
