The Lakewood Station of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department is currently conducting a search for a missing 9 year old girl.

Cynthia Allinger was last seen Thursday afternoon at approximately 3 p.m. in the vicinity of the family apartment. At that time she was going to visit some nearby friends. She did not arrive at the friends' home and has not been seen since.

The search for Cynthia is being conducted in the vicinity of Lincoln and Chicago Ave S.W. which is near the Main Gate of McChord Air Force Base, located by Exit 125 of I-5.

Cynthia Ann Allinger is described as a 9 year old W/F about 4 feet tall. She is described as very thin. She has shoulder length light brown or dirty-blond hair. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a floral pattern dress (white background and pink flowers with green leaves). The floral pattern is rather large and the dress also has a full circle white lace collar.
