Investigators look toward this suspect because witnesses report that he was with the girl on the day of her disappearance. Upon investigation, it was learned that he had two convictions for sexual crimes against minors.
The suspect was convicted in 1982 for sexual assault on a 16 year old. He served a 5 year sentence. In 1990, he served 5 months for an assault on a 10 year old.
Claiming rehabilitation, the suspect stated, "When I think of any sort of sex crime I get sick to my stomach." The suspect claims to have been home at the time of the girl's disappearance. His alibi is corroborated by his neighbors.
The suspect is under 24 hour surveillance.
