encouraged her to pursue a professional career providing
full moral and financial support for both Caroline and
Paul. Encouraged in volunteer activities, Caroline spent
summers working with the Head Start program and

Carson-Newman Caroline completed both a four year BSN,
Nursing Program and a two year MSN Graduate Program in
May of 1978 achieving both Family Nurse Practitioner
certification and Critical Care Management Nursing

Macy Lynn Lamar was born the following year, April 6,
1980. In honor of her much beloved mother, Macy's name
is derived from Mae Catherine.
- Caroline has a strong commitment to family values.
