This exercise introduces the younger student to some of the techniques needed to process a secured crime scene.
Students must use reasoning, common sense and math skills, as well as the sciences of biology and chemistry as they enter a criminal investigation.
Students will proceed through an investigation concerning a rural cabin and its possible relationship to a murder scene.
They will analyze soil, hair, rope, “trash”, do mapping, and interpret “police” data. The students must determine whether or not the cabin was the actual crime scene.
