EVIDENCE OF TREATMENT N/A EXTERNAL EXAMINATION - SUMMARY The skull recovered from the student backpack was cleaned and prepped for examination. The skull is smooth, and suture closure is incomplete. The topology of the skull is consistent with a female Caucasoid. The age of the skull, based on dentition and suture analysis, is between 18 months and 30 months. Residue visually consistent with soil is observed in crevices in the skull. Samples are collected and submitted to the Crime Lab for analysis. DNA Profiling Samples were collected and DNA profiling will be attempted. Results pending. DESCRIPTION OF INJURIES - SUMMARY A depressed skull fracture resulting from blunt force trauma is observed in the occipital region of the skull. Opinion: This is a potentially fatal injury. EVIDENCE COLLECTED 1. Six (6) autopsy photographs 2. Four (4) postmortem x-rays 3. Four (4) samples of residue 4.
