Evidence # 005733-01 — The serial number and purchase records were traced for the Glock 19 9mm semi-automatic pistol recovered from the living room area at the Daniels residence on November 6. The handgun was purchased on June 23, 2014, at the Happy Hunter, Highway 6 West, Oxford, Mississippi, by Bart Daniels.
Evidence # 005733-04 — Initial examination indicates the hacksaw recovered from the garage at the Daniels residence on November 6, is consistent with the injuries observed on the severed limbs recovered in YCSD Case # 005533-26J-2024, Pontotoc County Case # 03J2024-03242, Panola County Case # 2024J15-2298, and Calhoun County Case # 242068-22102024. Further analysis is in progress to verify the initial observation.
Evidence # 005733-05 — Examination of the black, wheeled suitcase with extendable handle recovered from the shop at the Daniels residence on November 6, found the contents consisted primarily of clothing and personal items. The clothing sizes were consistent with the victim, Laurie Daniels. The other item of interest found in the suitcase was a handwritten letter addressed to "Reggie" and signed "XOXO, Melanie."
