Findings Examination of the above items shows these three expended bullets are consistent with those used in a .38 Special caliber ammunition revolver, either .38 Special or 357 Magnum. All three projectiles are consistent with being fired from the same weapon. The weapon is most likely to match one of the following manufacturers: Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Llama, Taurus |

Findings Test fires of firearm 003016-B04 resulted in exhibits 003016-B04-01 through 003016-B04-10. These fired copper-jacketed bullet exhibits were compared with Items 003016-B01, 003016-B02, and 003016-B03. No individual identifying characteristics were found in pattern matching. Calibers were inconsistent. Conclusion: None of the firearms 0003016-B04, 0003016-B05, 0003016-B06, 0003016-B07 were the weapon that fired evidence items 003016-B01 through 0003016-B03. |
