Case Description: Dalton Kimbrough homicide investigation

The following items were taken into evidence from the lodge where Dalton Kimbrough was found dead.

In addition to the items listed below, extensive trace evidence was recovered from the scene including blood, hairs, fingerprints, and fibers. All trace evidence is currently being analyzed at the State Crime Lab.

The lodge remains sealed pending release by the Yoknapatawpha County Sheriff's Department and/or the Yoknapatawpha County District Attorney and/or defense counsel when identified.

  • 001985-01: One (1) handwritten note, recovered from the bed
  • 001985-02: One (1) machete with 22" blade with reddish-brown stains, recovered from desk
  • 001985-03: One (1) script for Death to the Revelers
  • 001985-04: One (1) pair men's jeans, blue, with reddish-brown stains
  • 001985-05: One (1) men's shirt, white, long-sleeved with possible biological material on the left sleeve
  • 001985-06: One (1) bedspread from the bed with reddish-brown stains
  • 001985-07: One (1) flat sheet from the bed with reddish-brown stains
  • 001985-08: One (1) fitted sheet from the bed
  • 001985-09 through 001985-10: Two (2) standard size pillowcases from the bed
