Incident follow-up report

REPORTING OFFICER'S NARRATIVE (Brief narrative of the facts surrounding the offense and the arrest.)

At 11:07 a.m., Dispatch notified R/Is that Unit #305 (Deputy P.J. Watson) had responded to a vandalism/well-being check call at a residence on Shady Oaks Circle. Deputy Watson reported to Dispatch that the incident may be connected to Incident #001838-16D-2022. Watson indicated that photographs observed inside the residence depicted a woman who appeared to resemble the body found at Kelly Woods on 04/16/2022.

Detective Armstrong took the call from Dispatch and contacted Detective Murphy, who was in the field interviewing a witness. While Detective Murphy returned to the station, Detective Armstrong spoke via telephone with Deputy Watson, who briefed him on the details of the incident.

R/Is used the information from Deputy Watson to obtain a search warrant for the residence to locate material that would confirm or disprove the possible identification. Judge Harold McAfee issued the search warrant at 12:30 p.m., and R/Is proceeded to the scene on Shady Oaks Circle.

R/Is arrived at the scene at 12:43 p.m. and conferred with Deputy Watson who had remained at the location to seal the scene and maintain its integrity. Environmental conditions at the scene upon arrival are as follows: Weather: Fair; Ambient temperature: 60º F / 16º C; Relative Humidity: 28%.

R/Is executed the search warrant at 12:45 p.m. Documents and other materials taken into evidence to assist with identification of the tenant are listed in the attached search inventory.

While executing the warrant, R/Is observed the interior of the residence which appeared to have been vandalized. Broken glass was noted in several locations and various liquids appear to have been distributed on walls, floors, and other surfaces. Small appliances and other items appeared to have been damaged.

When execution of the search warrant was complete, R/Is sealed the scene and marked it with crime scene tape.

Items taken into evidence were removed from the scene in the custody of R/Is.
