The autopsy is begun at 10:00 A.M. on April 17, 2022. The body is presented in a black body bag. At the time of examination, the body is clothed in blue denim jeans, a white bra, and white thong underwear. A silver wide band ring with a small heart-shaped gemstone is present on the ring finger of the right hand.

The body is that of a normally developed, well-nourished Caucasian female measuring 66 inches in length, weighing 120 pounds, and appearing to be between 25 and 30 years of age. The body is cold and unembalmed. Pronounced unblanching lividity is present on the anterior of the body in the regions of the left aspect of the face; the inner aspect of the left arm; the inner aspect of the right arm; the anterior aspect of the left and right thighs, knees, and calves.

The scalp is covered by long (12 inches) brown hair. The body hair is female and average. The head is symmetric, and there is extensive evidence of traumatic injury to the parietal region, described below.

The eyes are open. The irides are blue. The corneas are cloudy. The sclerae are clear. The pupils are asymmetrically dilated. The nose and ears are unremarkable. The teeth are natural and well maintained.

The anterior chest and abdomen are symmetric and unremarkable. The breasts are female and contain no palpable masses. The abdomen is flat, and the pelvis is intact. The external genitalia is female and unremarkable. The anus is atraumatic.

The back is symmetrical and intact. The upper and lower extremities are symmetric, normally developed, and intact.

A red "X" mark is noted on the inner aspect of the right wrist. The mark is visually consistent with ink from a wide-tipped pen. Samples collected for further analysis.

A tattoo was present on the inner aspect of the right calf just above the ankle:
