CHEMICAL ANALYSIS:
Standard chemical screening was performed on all evidence items listed below.
With isopropanol as a contributing factor in the cause of death, more extensive tests were performed.
Detection and quantitation were carried out using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
A positive isopropanol result indicates the presence of isopropanol and its metabolite, acetone, was found.
