From: spearson@**********.edu It was good to see you as well. I believe the book we discussed is called "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin de Becker. It's a really good exploration of stalking. I hope it helps, although I hope even more that you don't need to use it. Keep me informed of what happens. I'll keep my fingers crossed and pray that there's nothing to worry about. From: sjohnson@***********.com Sorry it took a while to respond… things have been crazy around here. How is life in the ivy-covered walls of academia? Anyway, I'm not sure I can answer your question with any certainty. But, I would think that the chances of you getting caught are pretty slim. You don't meet any of the typical red flags for an audit, so that would only happen if they picked you from random. One of the ways that they would check things out is that they could look at the money coming in and out of your checking account. They know how much you make from teaching, but if there is a boatload of extra money flowing through your account, then that would be an indicator of something wrong. I'm assuming that your tips aren't enough to be going out and buying a Ferrari or anything so I don't imagine you would attract a whole lot of attention. So I think you're safe. On another note, Bobby had appendicitis but is recovering from the surgery nicely. From: mixmaster@***.com You guys are ridiculous. How many times is this now? You should just dump his sorry ass. On Sep 8, 2022 at 9:43 AM, kpace@*******.edu wrote: > No, he's threatening to move out again. I'm through worrying about it. I gotta run… I'll |
From: mixmaster@***.com You know I care about you and wish you the best. Which means that I just have to ask this question… is this relationship really worth it? You guys just seem to fight an awful lot, and he's constantly moving out, moving back in, moving out again, and it just never seems to end. It sounds like you're relaxing and enjoying the quiet, so I hope you get some rest. But I really think you should think about the validity of this relationship. From: spearson@**********.edu Glad you got the book. I hope it helps. Definitely keep me updated on what happens. I'm worried about you. Don't take this thing lightly. Treat it as serious as you can. Call me, at any time day or night, if you need anything! On Sep 24, 2022 at 9:11 AM, kpace@*******.edu wrote: > I got the book. Thanks! From: jneuhiesl@*******.edu Certainly, we can talk about the issues with Laurence. You shouldn't have to keep putting up with his nonsense. Come by during my office hours, and we can talk. If I'm booked up, we can make plans for coffee or lunch or something. -Jay On Sep 25, 2022 at 3:23 PM, kpace@*******.edu wrote: > Could we possibly get together sometime so I can get your advice on Laurence. > Thanks for your help. From: mixmaster@***.com Well, I'm glad you're having a blast. Just try not to worry too much. I think it's important that you evaluate your relationship, but at the same time, don't let it get you down. Have fun and enjoy the time to yourself! From: kpace@*******.edu I've left you several messages, but in case you check your e-mail, we're all going to The Library tonight. We'll be there around 9:30 so come down and join us. |
From: njohanson@*******.edu I read your piece, and it looks good to me. I'm just sorry that you have to defend yourself in this way. The whole thing is just terrible. I know that all the faculty and the students, at least the ones with a brain, support you and know that all the accusations are false. Hang in there!
