Woman with long dark hair

Virginia Brooks bio

Virginia Rose Dillon was born on November 10, 1979, to Roger and Janine Dillon in Tupelo, Mississippi. She has one sister, Amy, who is one year older.

Roger Dillon was the manager of the Firestone and Rubber Company and is now retired. He still lives in Tupelo with his wife Janine.

Virginia’s parents were active in the Republican Party in Tupelo. When Virginia and Amy were old enough, they begged to go with their parents to rallies and campaign events. Roger and Janine allowed them to go that wouldn't be too dull or too long for young girls to sit through and behave. By the time they were in high school, Virginia and Amy were active members of the Teenage Republicans.

After Virginia graduated from high school, she attended the University of Mississippi. While there, she met Spenser Brooks. After dating a for few months, they knew they were in love, and they married after Virginia got her degree in June 2000. They both loved the city of Oxford and decided to settle there.

Virginia is an officer of the Republican Party of Yoknapatawpha County. She has worked on voter registration and served as a precinct captain. Her political connections came in handy when Spenser decided to run for District Attorney of Yoknapatawpha County after working as an assistant district attorney for over six years. Friends and observers say her contributions to the campaign strategy and organization were essential to his election victory in 2017

In addition to her political activities, Virginia is very active behind the scenes of the Theatre Oxford and is a Pink Lady volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Virginia and Spenser have one son, Wesley, born in 2002.
