January 14, 2014

Investigative action:

K-9 search and subsequent exhumation conducted at St. Peter's Cemetery. See attached reports.

Search of cemetery grounds and canvass of surrounding area produced no witnesses or additional evidence.

Check of list of burials shows no obvious relation to case. Check of six recent deaths, all natural causes, no individual under age 68.

Interview conducted at interviewee location:

Jonathan Giles, St. Peter's Cemetery caretaker — Provided information about activities at the cemetery. See transcript.

Background check:

Jonathan Giles — Clean, no criminal record, no known associations with Maxwell family.

 

January 15, 2014

Interview conducted at interviewee location:

Robin Maxwell, mother — Reviewed movements of family members January 2-3, 2014, possible enemies and/or motives. See transcript.

Todd Maxwell, father — Reviewed movements of family members January 2-3, 2014, possible enemies and/or motives. See transcript.

Evidence collected:

Todd Maxwell provided receipt from North Lamar Shell dated January 3, 2014, 1:58 a.m.

Autopsies:

Attended autopsies of bodies recovered from St. Peter's Cemetery. Tentatively identified as Cameron Maxwell and Caitlin Maxwell, pending confirmation. Coroner's preliminary opinion is both deaths are homicides. Details of injuries, toxicology, etc. to be included in coroner's reports.

 

January 16, 2014

Investigative action:

Verified life insurance policies. Each Maxwell child had $100,000 coverage — Austin policy date: 6/14/99, Cameron policy date: 2/6/00, Caitlin policy date: 3/7/01.

Review of recorded interviews with family conducted on January 5, 2014 show no visible signs of injuries, cutting wounds, scratches.

Interview conducted at interviewee location:

Reverend Tommy Sanders, First Baptist church — Background information on Maxwell family, arrangements for surveillance and security at memorial service.
