Tracy Lu
Tracy Lu is Nathan Mistillis's girlfriend.
Participants:
- Detective S. Murphy
- Detective E. Parker
- Tracy Lu
Detective Parker: Good morning. Are you Ms. Tracy Lu, the owner of this store?
Tracy Lu: Yes, how may I help you?
Detective Parker: I was wondering if you could help us answer a few questions.
Tracy Lu: Of course, Detective.
Detective Murphy: Could you start by stating your full name and address for the record?
Tracy Lu: Tracy Lu, 511 Meadow Lane, Oxford, Mississippi.
Detective Murphy: And what is your relationship with Nathan Mistillis?
Tracy Lu: We've been dating for almost five years now and living together for four years. If this is about the agent that was murdered, I can vouch for Nate a hundred percent.
Detective Murphy: That makes our job a lot easier, then. Can you tell me where Mr. Mistillis was on Saturday evening?
Tracy Lu: He was working at Pearce Brokers all afternoon and met with a client from out-of-town later that night. The meeting only took about an hour because Nate came home at 7:30 p.m. in time for dinner.
Detective Parker: Did Nate and his client meet at Pearce Brokers?
Tracy Lu: Nate was showing this client a property. I don't know the exact address, but it's only a five-minute drive from Pearce.
Detective Parker: Do you know if anyone else was with them?
Tracy Lu: It was just the two of them.
Detective Parker: Would you happen to know the name of that client?
Tracy Lu: Something Colt, I don't remember the first name.
Detective Parker: Do you know if he's still in town?
Tracy Lu: Not likely. Nate mentioned he was leaving in a couple of days, but I'm sure that Pearce Brokers will have Mr. Colt's contact information.
Detective Parker: And after Nate got home, when did he go out again?
Tracy Lu: He didn't. We were home all night.
Detective Murphy: What about Sunday morning?
Tracy Lu: We were home. We always spend Sunday mornings together.
Detective Parker: All right, Ms. Lu. Thank you very much for your help.
Ray Colt
Ray Colt is one of Nathan Mistillis's clients.
Participants:
- Detective E. Parker
- Ray Colt
Detective Parker: Good afternoon. This is Detective Parker with the Yoknapatowpha County Sheriff's Office. May I speak with Mr. Colt?
Ray Colt: That's me. How can I help you?
Detective Parker: Mr. Colt, were you in Oxford last weekend?
Ray Colt: Yes, I arrived on Friday night, the 27th, and flew out early Sunday morning from Memphis. Is this about that trip?
Detective Parker: I was wondering if you could help me confirm the whereabouts of Nathan Mistillis on Saturday. Do you remember meeting with him that day?
Ray Colt: He's the real estate agent over at Pearce Brokers, right?
Detective Parker: That's correct.
Ray Colt: Yeah, I had a meeting with him at 6:00 p.m. that Saturday. A friend of a friend had referred me to Pearce when I asked about investing in some property in Oxford. I called a week before I flew out to set up a meeting with a broker, who turned out to be Mr. Mistillis. He made the house seem so great on the phone, but when I saw it with my own eyes, it was complete rubbish!
Detective Parker: I take it the meeting didn't last long?
Ray Colt: You're absolutely right. I think Mr. Mistillis could tell that there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of me buying that house, so there wasn't the usual amount of bargaining and pleading involved.
Detective Parker: What time did the two of you part ways?
Ray Colt: No later than 7:00 p.m.
Detective Parker: Did Mr. Mistillis mention where he was going afterward?
Ray Colt: Home, I assume. Said something about his girlfriend's cooking.
Detective Parker: All right, Mr. Colt. That's all I wanted to know. Thank you for your time.
