Case Description: Investigation of suspicious finding in Shops and Stores
The Crime Lab provided summary preliminary findings of their forensic analysis of evidence collected from the hidden room discovered in the UM Physical Plant Shops and Stores building.
Serology
| 001388-03 through 001388-04: Two (2) samples of smear on door interior |
| Findings: The McPhails Reagent test, which indicates the presence of blood, was performed on the sample. A positive test is indicated by a blue/green color shift. The test turned blue/green indicating the presence of blood. |

| Findings: The McPhails Reagent test, which indicates the presence of blood, was performed on the sample. A positive test is indicated by a blue/green color shift. The test turned blue/green indicating the presence of blood. |

| Findings: A Urea test, indicating the presence of urine, was performed on the sample. The test turned blue, indicating the presumptive presence of urine. |

| Findings: Multiple analyses found the substance was consistent with vomit. |

| 001388-11 through 001388-12: Two (2) samples of dried leaves and seeds |
| Findings: The Duquenois-Levine test, screening test for marijuana, was performed on the sample. A positive result is indicated buy the rapid color shift to blue. The test turned blue indicating the presumptive presences of marijuana or hashish. |
